Three, Must-Have Apps for An iPad Owner

Back in 2000 Bill Gates surprised the sold-out Comdex crowd with the first tablet PC. The device got the crowd cheering, but the sounds of their clapping would soon be muffled by the tablet's eventual flop. Fast-forward 10 years, Steve Jobs announces his rendition of a tablet computer dubbed the iPad. Today, the iPad is responsible for helping reinvigorate the once dead tablet industry, and with countless apps running on the device, it’s hard to resist not buying one of these devices. Together with the iPhone and iPod, the iPad helped sell over 25 billion apps. Below is a list of some of our favortie iPad apps, but if you are looking for more, head over to Technology Blogs to see more.

iPhoto

Inspired by its big-brother counterpart on MacBook computers, iPhoto for the iPad is your one-stop shop for edited photos. If you own an iPad, chances are you’ve taken or uploaded plenty of pictures to your device. Some may have even purchased third-party photo editing programs to modify the color of a picture, rotate or even crop an image. iPhoto condenses all the essential editing tools of third-party programs and stuffs it into an app. IPad users can edit using multi-touch gestures; add photo effects; and adjust the final touches with a few swipes.

Facebook

If you’re one of the more than 7 billion users on Facebook, chances are you’ll want to download this free app. It integrates your account, letting you log in instantly. Messaging, viewing videos and browsing through friend’s pages is responsive and simple, and most commands you normally would perform with a mouse can be done with a swipe or a tap. Everything you’re used to doing on Facebook from your laptop can be replicated on the app.
Evernote
Track every idea you’ve ever written. Compared to the built-in note application on the iPad, Evernote technology lets you create lists, take photos and share your information on all of iOS devices. If you wrote something down but misplaced a note, you can search Evernote to find your missing information. If you need to record a voice memo, you can launch Evernote, record and play it back later.
